Smoked Pound Cake

The Smoked Pound Cake recipe cooked on the Big Green Egg combines softened butter, sugar, eggs, half-and-half, and vanilla for a moist, dense cake that's baked low and slow at 300°F.

What makes this version special is that it's smoked rather than traditionally baked, giving it a unique flavor profile that elevates this classic dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup half & half

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 

Directions

  1. Preheat the Egg for indirect cooking with the convEGGtor to 300°F/148°C.

  2. Blend sugar and butter.

  3. Add room temperature eggs one by one.

  4. Add a tsp of vanilla and one 1/4 cup of half and half.

  5. Add flour one cup at a time.

  6. Blend until smooth.

  7. Smoke at 300°F/148°C for 1 hour or until the center of the cake is done.
