Crispy, spicy-sweet, and packed with flavor, these Grilled Gochujang Chicken Wings feature a bold glaze of gochujang, garlic, ginger, and honey. Ready in 30 minutes, they’re perfect for summer grilling on your Big Green Egg.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh chicken wings, patted dry
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons gochujang
- 3 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- Scallions, to garnish
- Sesame seeds, to garnish
Directions
- Preheat the Big Green Egg to 425°F/218°C and set up for direct cooking.

In a large mixing bowl, toss wings with salt, pepper & cornstarch until evenly coated.

Transfer wings to the grill. Cook until crispy & cooked throughout, about 4 to 6 minutes on each side.

For the sauce, add butter, garlic, ginger, honey, gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar & sesame oil to a small frying pan.

Bring to a gentle simmer, constantly stirring & remove from heat.

Toss wings on the sauce & transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with scallions & sesame seeds.
