If you have a pool, you may find yourself confused on these three products. Balance Pak 100, 200, 300...what does it all mean? We uncover it in this article!

Water Balancers

First, these chemicals (Balance Pak 100, Balance Pak 200, and Balance Pak 300) are all BioGuard water balancers. Why are balancers important? Well, they help balance your water to prevent problems.

You want to keep your pool water balanced in order to control scale, prevent metallic stains, adjust pH and total alkalinity, and correct mineral imbalances.

The three Balance Pak products focus on increasing your pool's total alkalinity, pH, or calcium hardness. Now, let's look at the Balance Pak products.

Balance PAK® 100 for Total Alkalinity

  • For raising total alkalinity
  • Prevents pH change
  • Prevents corrosion and vinyl liner wrinkling due to improper pH
  • Dissolves quickly when added directly to water
 

Balance PAK® 200 for pH

  • For raising pH level
  • Protects pool equipment from corrosion
  • Prevents eye irritation due to low pH
 

Balance PAK® 300 for Calcium hardness

  • For raising calcium hardness levels
  • Dissolves quickly
  • Protects pool equipment from corrosion, plaster etching and wrinkling of liners
